Episode 01: Mulgildie Hotel
Of all of the locations Eerie Visions Paranormal have investigated, this has been the most active so far.
Located just south of Monto in the Burnett region, Mulgildie is a small country town with a shrinking population. There is a local legend of a water Bunyip at a water hole on Three Moon Creek in the Selene State Forestry.
Built in 1927, the then called the Hotel Cecil of Mulgeldie was established by Mrs. Ivy May Bourne. Mrs. Bourne owned and managed the hotel for over 4 decades and was the subject of several legal disputes. The hotel itself has several additional sections that were transported from Gayndah. The only known death to occur on the property was of a local hotel regular on the now demolished outhouse.
The hotel has become well known for being haunted with claims of objects being thrown, smashed, moved, or manipulated. People have also claimed to see orbs and shadow figures and there is even a photo on Tripadvisor that attests to be an authentic paranormal capture. Some of the claims include females being locked in the toilet of Room 1 on two occasions. Both times the women claimed that the door felt like it was being held shut and had to scream for help, on both occasions someone has come and just opened the door with ease. A ceramic crockpot lid being smashed about 8m or so from the pot that it was left sitting on. And an entire mattress being moved from the base it was laying on and being found outside the room, leaning up against the wall, still made.
